OK, so I put this badass I9-9900K, 8 core/16 thread, 32gb ram, M2 Drive computer together with all latest shit. Even waited for EVGA to release their Z390 FTW board with all the other parts in hand.
Yes, it boots faster because of the M2 NVME drives.
Yes, the RGB affects look cool.
Yes, the EVGA case and theme looks cool.
BUT..... when all that is said and done..... I honestly don't see a damn bit of real world perceptual performance improvement over what I had. I honestly feel like I flushed $1200 down the shitter for some cool looking lights and nice new case.
67 years old next month and I still haven't learned the old "The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the hill" lesson.
Shoulda just stayed with what I had. An I7-3960x Extreme CPU and 32 GB of Quad Channel ram still kicks ass even 5 years later.
