OK, so I put this badass I9-9900K, 8 core/16 thread, 32gb ram, M2 Drive computer together with all latest shit. Even waited for EVGA to release their Z390 FTW board with all the other parts in hand.

Yes, it boots faster because of the M2 NVME drives.
Yes, the RGB affects look cool.
Yes, the EVGA case and theme looks cool.

BUT..... when all that is said and done..... I honestly don't see a damn bit of real world perceptual performance improvement over what I had. I honestly feel like I flushed $1200 down the shitter for some cool looking lights and nice new case.

67 years old next month and I still haven't learned the old "The grass isn't always greener on the other side of the hill" lesson.

Shoulda just stayed with what I had. An I7-3960x Extreme CPU and 32 GB of Quad Channel ram still kicks ass even 5 years later.

The only "upgrades" I've had is when a part fails and I've had to replace it. So basically two new HDDs and a basic gtx 1050 all these years. So if you're disappointed beyond belief I'll gladly take the new stuff off your hands.

You know whats the worse part, am using and old xeon 4th gen intel, with a cheap board, and 8gb ram attached to a 1050ti, and gives me what i need for BF4

I almost buy a 1000 dlls pc, and i thought bout it instead

Yeah, my old box is sitting on my garage bench and needing a new home.

I put a 1060 in it and it plays BF4 friggin great!

I still need to get around to selling this thing. Aint doin' no one any good sitting on my work bench.

Spot on! The tech is awesome but these games dont put any tax on the new systems. More often than not you dont see much if any improvement. Many times it comes down to Code that just can not take advantage of the hardare....... Ie written for one core vs 12 on the CPU side.

Exactly, i guess the only real game that uses all the cores is ....... and ........ but not ....., perhaps the ....., nop noone hahahhaha
