I'm happy to be a part of AARP!

A little about me....

I'm a 40 yo mom of 2 boys and have an amazing hubby who introduced me to BF series in 2006 when we were dating. I'm competitive and have always thought I can do anything the guys can do, so I gave it a try. I was hooked! We are a family of gamers, we have 3 gaming desktops and I've been using a gaming laptop, which will soon be replaced with a desktop. My 15 yo son started his gaming career when he was 3 yo, and it was on BF 2142! We have video of him playing and it's amazing to see him in the armoured walker taking players out! My favorite BF series was probably Bad Company and I loved the Vietnam expansion!

I took a year or so off of playing games due to working and other home responsibilities. A few months ago I left my nursing job after 19 yrs, therefore I've had more time to game. Over the years I've played a few other games such as LOTRO, SWTOR, Skyrim, Rust, PUBG, Fortnite, 7D2D, Forest and have dabbled in other games. I've played a little 2042 and currently at level 63. When I'm not gaming I love to read! I love fiction, romance, fantasy, thriller and suspense. I've lived in northern New Jersey the last 3 yrs and prior to c19 we enjoyed going to NYC for the Broadway shows! I enjoy hiking and going to the beach.

I've enjoyed playing with AARP members. I look forward to meeting everyone!

Hey Lally, thanks for the awesome intro!
Must be rlly cool to have a family whose all into gaming. In my family its only me and my little brother and I always enjoy chatting with him about the different games we play. I do have to say he's much better than me at most games :oops: Hes much more open to messing around and figuring things out while I like to play it safe haha.
Very exciting that ur getting a desktop. way bigger screen and dont have to worry about temps and cooling anymore. I built my own rig a few years back and it was a great learning experience, and I aced it too haha. PC turned on at the first try.
Other than my gaming PC, my other room decor that Im proud of is my bookshelf (lets not talk about how many books on it are still unread...) and my 2 aquariums that I recently started up.

It would be really cool if some of us AARP members played some games other than bf4 together. A while back camper started a Conan exilles server for a while which was cool. Maybe we can get some interest going in some games that we can play for whatever clan members are interested

Very cool! I've assisted my husband with PC builds, but I would never attempt it on my own! We plan to buy a pre-built for myself. We had a hard time last spring finding components, esp the gfx card, for my son's pc. We bought a pre-built thru I-Buy-Power and still waited 10 weeks for it due to back order on 3070.

It's fun when a family member also plays. At least you have a buddy to always play with! Aquariums are cool! I've never actually owned one because I was worried I would kill the fish! Good luck with that!

I would totally be down for playing other games if there's an interest. Look forward to gaming with you!
