I would buy it my self but I have pretty good stuff already. I may buy it any way on the payment plan and skip a payment so the Hells Angles come knocking here in Michigan, home base of the Outlaws M/C. How badly do you want the upgrade? 7nm Ryzen and AMD GPUs are coming out later this year. If the CES presentation is anything to go on, the Radeon VII will perform on-par with a 2080 (minus the RTX), and the Ryzen CPUs will do very well compared to Intel.

Heard Radeon VII is lackluster compared to 2080.

I've not seen the real-world results yet, so we'll see when all that comes out. Even if it's not aimed at he 2080, it's something more affordable by comparison.
