Howdy folks, I spend all my time on BF4 playing on y'alls great hardcore server so I thought I would stop by and introduce myself to you folks and maybe look into joining AARP, as I really like the idea of actually playing and planning attacks, strats and such with a squad, and also have fun!

I bet a little about me would do well in a introduction, I live in grand rapids in west michigan, and want to get a degree in mechanical engineering
Outside of the fun that is now online college, which actually sucks a lot compared to in person learning, i also like fountain pens, and bagpipes.
No i do not fondle the pipes myself, but I am a drummer for some local pipe bands

Other than that thats it for me for now, hope to see you on the battlefield!
 
Welcome to the forums jwolt1. We are practically neighbors as I live in N.Muskegon myself. Others in the area include Wiz_of_Was in Holland and McOderous from your city of Grand Rapids. We may meet one day on the battle field if I get the itch again to play some HC. As for right now I am pretty exclusive on the Golmud Server............STRYKER.
 
Welcome to the forums. I’m a bagpiper in San Diego and also play in several bands here. For those of you that don’t know it drummers are easily distracted by anything shiny......

Although that is true in my case, I know many pipers who are easily distracted by shiny things as well

welllll, i've been a drummer in one pipe band for 5 years now, and another band for about only one

I wouldn't call myself a percussionist tough, as i've only done pipe band drumming. Back in middle/high school, i played the trombone.

If you play a percussion instrument (including the piano), you're a percussionist. I was never trained and can't do drum rolls or fills very well, but I can hold a beat and feel the groove. I still call myself a percussionist. :drum:
