I have to admit that I am not playing as much as I used to due to work and family challenges but have had issues for a while where it may take a few attempts and a few restarts to get either Origin or BF4 to fire up but eventually it does. Today after being gone for a week and a half, the computer went through an update and I just can't get Origin or BF4 to work. Origin will show up under TaskManager consuming about 94% of the CPU and it will do that for ever. END TASK and try again... same thing. Restart, nothing. I have tried the GOOGLE search and made sure it is not running as administrator, etc... and still nothing. Thoughts or ideas? Not sure what is going on... it tries to do something... but it does it very poorly. And NO, I do not have the Red_Killa sex tapes running in the background.

You're not alone pal. I have similar issues with Origin and Battlelog not working well. I found it's best to have Origin started beforehand then open BF4 through Battlelog in the Chrome browser.

Also, have you tried running BF4 in 32bit mode and not 64? Read this link. It has the steps to do so.

Let me know if that helps or not. We'll get you back in playing!

You don't have to do everything immediately from the list below but these are some of the options that typically fix most Origin issues.

1. Attempt to update your GPU drivers.
2. Perform a clean boot on Windows: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
3. Run Origin as Administrator, if it still does not start, close it through task manager and run a game's actual executable from your Origin Library folder.
4. Uninstall Origin through your control panel and delete it's installation folder (Do not delete the game folder).
5. Verify game integrity/cache.
6. Right click on Origin's shortcut and run in compatibility mode for windows 7/8.

This seems like a common problem after the recent Windows10 update. If you are running windows 10, I would try to restore the computer to a date prior to the update and see if that works. If system restore isn't turned on, obviously you cant do that, and I would turn the service on because you will run into future problems with windows10.

You guys do know you can uninstall updates on Windows 10 without a restore point right? You just go to Windows Update Settings, click View Update History and click Uninstall Updates.
