Headset/headphones/speakers - what's everyone using? any suggestions?

Gotta love the 7.1. I was PLD'n south of C sprawled out over a rock and not letting much get out of their base when i hear a guy running up to knife me, spun around and 1 shot killed him just as he was about to stick it to me........T2B don't get that perv brain going now! :jaded:

I use a Corsair VOID RGB headset for Battlefield (but the mic doesn't work in-game for whatever reason), as it's the only game I play that requires me to know where people are, and the '7.1' speakers are very useful. Everything else I have a 2.1 speaker setup.

Used to use Sennsheiser but got tired of wresting the cord so I'm using Logitech 533 cordless now.

I also have Corsair 2100 cordless (2 pair for battery purposes) ....... Logitech has far superior battery life (16 hours).

I'm medically certified (honestly) as 85% deaf. So I dont really hear hi fidelity all that well.

I have Logitech's G933. 7.1 is great although I've been have some audio problems as of late.

no headset as mine gave up the ghost a while back. I play with Klipsch 2.1 speakers most of the time, although if I am on a conference call, I play muted. In fact, I play a lot muted which makes it easier for some meatball to sneak up and get the first shot (Riker).

One day we will take some time and figure out your mic issue. First thing would be confirming the mic actually works (in windows or other applications).

That explains why I wasn't getting a response from you yesterday when in team chat. lol

I typically try to respond via chat but if it is busy in the chat, I may miss it since it scrolls off my visible window. I have been accused of hacking and just barely caught that they were talking about me at times. :)

It works totally fine on TeamSpeak and other non-game-related services. Not even a fresh install of Windows fixed the issue, so it's either a problem between me and the game, or something hardware related.

Windows 10 or 7?

Keybindings are correct? (set to default).

Any other apps using the mic at the same time as the game? (close any other applications that might be using the mic...like - teamspeak or skype).

Might need to change some BF4 default audio settings.

In Windows sound settings make the headset the default and disable other sound hardware like the TV, external speakers, HDMI, soundbars etc...

When I get home from work I'll fire up the game and try to help you out further.....if you like.
