Hey all,

I am just trying to get opinions. I have the GTX1060 graphics card which is the one that came in the computer. I have an i7-8700 processor, 16Gigs of RAM and running Samsung SSD's but still get a good bit of lag when I playing Golmud around A and B.

What settings / new video card would you guys recommend?

The graphics card has nothing to do with lag. That is the internet problems between your computer and the server. Most players are seeing the same lag in game.

Definitely is not your setup, dont worry.... or the server is being DDOS or some magicians are at the server when you play

Fkn lagg man

It could just be lag from the server end. Try a different server and see if you still have the same lag.

If you determine it's your computer, try these:

Reduce your anti-aliasing or turn it off for the purpose of trouble shooting.

Check your ping, make sure it's not abnormally high.

I also recommend not having other apps running in the background that might me accessing your internet connection, like Chrome or other browser. No AntiVirus software or apps that might be updating like nVidia or Widows Update.

Run BF4 in 32bit not 64.

Turn off any video capture software like nVidia's GeForce Experience until lag issue is corrected.

http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest Run a test see if you have too much bufferbloat, then like Animal said shutdown useless app's and run another speed test
I shutdown (GeForce experience,CCleaner,Killer Networking can't remember what else. Also don't know if this apply's but running the game with Edge browser suck's for me Internet explorer works much better.

LOL! I also use Grande, I have 300MB. I think my expectations are a little high. I can get the lag manageable with turning down graphics settings but I'd rather have everything on ultra with no lag.

I run a I.T. company from my home so I have a good bit of security which I am sure plays a part but taking it down is not an option. I "could" use a different computer for work and stick this one in a DMZ though. That's a thought.
