I've been playing on the server using a 2011 Macbook Pro. The graphics card went out and is not easy to change. I ordered a 2015 Macbook Pro but it will be a week or two until it gets here, and then a couple of days to install windows and configure device drivers.

This has pretty much been the week from hell. Graphics card died, I get hit by a car on my bike (no injuries), and I got a flat 10 miles from home. Hope to see you all on the server soon. Eat your veggies.

Glad you're OK after the bike accident. Stuff like that helps keep the game in perspective. Better to get run over in Golmud where you can respawn!

Glad youre ok. I saw my buddy get Tboned by a car thrown across the road and hit by another car in 2005. Its was fucking wild. He walked away with minor injuries.

What kind of FPS were you getting on that 2011 MBP?

Thank you both, glad i didn't become a real life roadkill. I haven't tested FPS on my 2011 MBP, but the gaming experience is fluent enough for me to consistently record decent scores. I'm not a flashy player, but I win 53 percent of the time, mostly support work in transport and tank.

When I first started playing, I was using the MBP over wifi and losing every game badly. With an ethernet connection, the MBP does just fine. I'm expecting even better gameplay from the 2015 MBP that's on order. I just love me some Apple hardware, but not so much the software ...

I know some people who run Win on Macs, but it's all desktop or whatever they call the all in one thing. Nobody ever mentioned gaming, though. And I wouldn't have thought to attempt an FPS game like BFx that has challenged some of my higher end PC hardware over the years. From 2011, I guess that would have been BF2 still at the time and I really struggled to get my PC up to speed for that game.
