So, I've been playing now for 2 yrs or so, and I'm sure I should know the answer to this, but... When someone is doing a hand to hand melee on you, isn't there a defense to it you can do? I've tried so many times, and I think only once did I manage to get him. What is the procedure if there is one? Thanks

If you are facing them, you can counter a melee attack by pressing your melee button when the prompt comes up. Do it too early or too late and you'll fail it.

Should we hit the Melee button several times??? I usually do.

Once is the best. As soon as the prompt shows up. If you are in the habit of spamming it, you are more likely to hit it too fast.

But, and always will be a "but"

You need to have a timing on stabs.... Once you feel the animation started, don't push any key, just move your mouse left and right the faster you can.... To avoid counter

It's hard to make it, but feel free to try it
