i hate the snowflakes too! but redkilla is stuck in -5 weather and snow so he thinks we need to all suffer!!

1) I was born on Camp Pendleton in Oceanside CA
2) I was deployed all over the damn place for years
3) Ended up buying my Aunt and Uncles place on the beach in Carlsbad (They raised me...Dad was off running through jungles)
4) Bought a place on the river in Nine Mile Falls
5) Sold that and got a place in CA when my bride kept getting pneumonia.
6) I'm still in WA until the end of March, then I go home (66 = Stick a fork in me, I'm done)
7) Then we head to Texas
I hope that clarifies all things related to to Da Dog House =)

My Sons girlfriend took the picture.
The Black and blue bike went to my warrior son for coming back from 3 tours of combat.
The Ironhead in the foreground went to my middle son who was a PITA.....which is exactly what a 79 Ironhead is.

I have never been to Cali but if I could afford it I think I'd like it. CO is my adopted home.
I'm in TX now since last summer. in general I can't wait to leave but last weekend I had a 4 day so the wife and I went to san Antonio. that is a nice city, but over two hours away. Austin is nice too but unfortunately also a bit of a drive.

My wife and I fell in love with that area of Texas when we would go to Ft Hood for our sons deployments (outbound and inbound).

We would stay at the Omni in Austin and just walk down to and take in the 6th street music scene. Its a blast during Bike Week.
We liked it so much we started going there whether our son was deploying or not. Love the area around Lake Travis, Canyon Lake, Bastrop, Georgetown, San Marcos. We even looked at a house down on Lake Medina (Outside San Antonio)
We're going to end up in that area in about a year.
