You're not the only one who has random problems with ea. Seems to have helped having a version on steam, for me anyways.

I've been having more issues with BF4 and EA freezing up/losing connection the last two weeks than I have in the last two years, but I also updated to Windows 11 around that time so that may be more of a factor

sporadically, been having disconnection issues, forced restarts, thought it was on my end as well.
