Bridges tend to ice up and surprise anyone going over them too fast. I have felt that sudden lose of tire friction twice. Once while taking my mother somewhere at night. Was on a bridge and i went to slow down and nada! Instead of freaking out just kept the stearing wheel straight ahead and let off the gas.
Another time I was traveling through Texas and it was snowing. About 4 inches of snow on roadway. Was behind other cars that were going slow at about 30mph. Decided to pass them and as I past the last car of three was on a bridge and tried to merge back into the right lane. Car started the turn and kept on turning and sliding. As the car I just passed continued to my right side my car had turned 180 degrees and was now stopping next to the guard rail. No scratch and got back in line. Very scared.
