I've been talking to 40oz and I thing maybe it was WhiteFish about if I were to make a discord for the AARP clan. Discord is a free application which is pretty much Facebook, Teamspeak, and Skype all in one. You can have unlimited voice chat rooms and text chats. You're able to have up to 100 people in one voice call and unlimited members in the server.
I'm very familiar with the platform and have built many servers in the past. It's even better since they have an app so you can use it while you're not at home. I already made the server so they admins, owners, and moderators have permission over just regular and random people who join.
Here's a link if you want to take a look at what the app is https://discordapp.com/features
Please take into consideration, plus it's FREE!

Thank you guys.

You're damn right it was me and 40oz, Maka. I'm not very familiar with discord but from the little I know about it, it seems like a cool idea. I like that it combines multiple platforms into one. From what I can tell a lot of gamers use discord. It seems to be the new thing.

I dont have a facebook page because facebook sucks ass. They are a highly invasive advertising platform masked as a social network. You'd have an easier time making the NYC subway system rat and roach free then you would getting facebook/instagram spying cookies off your computer for good.

Redkilla - Teamspeak was big before they had in game squad chat. Now it doesnt really serve that purpose. However, I think having a centralized area where you can post and chat would be appealing.

Right but you can talk to everyone on your team in TS, where as you cant in in game chat, just your squad

True but Ive never seen it used that way. The few times Ive jumped on ours everyone is in the main room. Seemed more like a place to bullshit and not strategize about play. I will say the voice quality on teamspeak is much better.

I am in it every time I play and its usually me, Slow1inTexas and Glitch. I've never seen more than 3 or four people in it. If people would use it more, Id sent up two more channels for both teams.

Do you find the ingame overlay causes lag? Ive heard it does so I dont use it which makes it difficult to see whos talking.

I like the idea of team channels. Its a good start.

Discord combines features from TeamSpeak, and Skype. It doesn't have all the customization features that TeamSpeak has, but it does have a good text chat client. It handles group chat way, way better than Skype.

I don't know why you guys don't use TS. Yes, compared to Discord it's very linear but it is a great tool for staying in constant communication with your clanmates when playing. Shame on Y'all!!!! :P
