Did you ever get scammed?

Check this, my friend ordered ASUS ASTRAL 5080 and got something like 1080Ti. Someone obviously bought 5080 and put this gpu in the box and returned to "BestBuy"
I told him he is lucky, some people got rocks in the box literally. If you ever order at BestBuy, get it shipped to the store and check it while you there.

Was it open box "return and refurbished"? If the shrink wrap was still on that's a hell of a scam.

I always do in store pick up anyway, unless it's some monster TV or something I can't be assed out to wrangle. I've heard horror stories of UPS guys stealing cards as well.

Yeah, pick up is the only option from now on. It wasn't open box, brand new card. Technically, it was because some low life opened who know where.

Ive heard this scam happening on reseller sites and amazon but never from a big box store. Crazy. I hope BestBuy made it right
