Deadwood, the movie is out tonight.

One of the all time great series is back tonight in the form of a movie on HBO!

Enjoy!

Looking forward to it. Happened to see a sort of Deadwood marathon running last night on one of the HBO secondary/alt channels. Tuned in and saw a scene I had forgotten about almost completely--hero and villain knife brawling in the mud ... in that one scene, you see everybody in the town/show almost, as they cut to reaction shots. I had forgotten how many great performances played out on that show. Lots of folks on Deadwood moved to solid FX (Sons of Anarchy, Justified) and AMC (Breaking Bad) shows subsequently--a surprising amount.

An article about the Deadwood creator (David Milch) and his struggles with dementia and enormous gambling debts. Guy, even through the portals of illness and despair, remains quotable as fuck.

Deadwood was one of my favorites.

Excited for that.

Also, if the Chinese, Filipino, Korean baby changes his name one more time it has to be AsianBaby to cover all his future bases.

Watching reruns now. I may wait till next week after I go through a few of the old shows. Anyone who watches the movie, NO SPOILERS!!!!!!!

That's a good idea, -- not a spoiler, but they do a lot of flashbacks and my the years have added up, but it's was great to see the entire cast back.

Good to know I rewatched most of the first 2 season. Ill watch season 3 this week and then the movie. I forgot just how good the series was.
