As a Science Fiction setting, the Cyberpunk Dystopia is fascinating. In particular the way it puts the concept of 'Humanity' itself under a lens. However, the idea of actually living it is deeply troubling. Especially as actual society seems to be backsliding into a Dystopia. "Boring Dystopia" being a term I see thrown around fairly often these days.

I does seem like we are headed to a boring dystopia more and more, except there probably won't be hovercars or ramen noodle airships. But we can expect bad weather, pollution, overpopulation, and general lawlessness.

The lack of Hovercars or cool Tech is the whole thing about a "Boring" Dystopia. Life doesn't get 'cool', it just stays the same, except with a Dystopia attached to it.
This music video reminds me of a movie called "Her"
Its a really interesting look into the kinds of relationships humans could form with AI in a cyberpunk-ish type future. Cool movie but also a bit depressing.

Indiana Jones, say it’s not so - Why did you do it?
I know why, he was forced by Hans Solo forced to make the first Blade Runner (1982).
I did play Metro 2033 Redux for an hour then went to Fallout 4 for 2 hours and found myself in the backyard digging a hole for my bunker. Doomsday Prepper - still undecided.
