During BF4 gameplay, the other night, it was mentioned that we could potentially trade out the two commander slots, for two spectator slots on the server. Since it was only brought up in-game, i figured I'd start a thread on it. Mostly because I think we should do it, but also because we needs to figure out if that is something that the clan wants to try.
The reasons AARP should make the change:
#1: I will donate $100, no bs, if this change happens.
#2: Eventually, after we start to make educated perma bans, there should be less hacking and hackusations on our server.
#3: Players and clan members will be able to spectate other players, record what they see, and then upload 'proof' video's of people obviously hacking, and also of people being dicks while we aren't around, on the forums. Our admins can then begin to just check the thread regularly, instead of feeling a strong demand that they need to monitor the server actively all the time.
#4: IF our clan is known to, 'actively' permanently ban hackers, and repeat offenders, we should have more fun loving players, who want to follow the rules, in our server.

#1: It is possible that some of our own clan members will be targets of recordings, and hackusations. In other instances, of similar scenarios, I've even seen videos that some people >fabricated<, and then posted an appeal on the forum with the fabricated videos of someone obviously hacking. The problem was that it actually wasn't the person being accused, and someone placed their name in the video, in an attempt to try and get them permabanned, and or booted from the clan.
#2: It IS possible that some of our current clan members will be recorded >actually< hacking it up on our server. I currently don't think that anyone is doing it, but who's to say really? The issue here will be deciphering the fabricated videos from the real ones.
#3: Some players may actually think the commander role is essential, I haven't heard of anyone yet.
#4: Players won't understand why we did this, or, why there isn't a commander slot anymore, unless it is advertised. They also won't know that there is now something they can do with their rage on hackers, exploiters, racists, and just plain old assholes, unless we let them know somehow.
While I said I'd donate, and said I want this to happen, and while I think the change should happen, I will be donating $100, soon, regardless of what the clan decides, just trying to sneak it past the Mrs.
That being said, perhaps some clam members would like to add some reasons of yeh or neh, that I missed, or their thoughts on the ones I've listed. Please do, the more we talk about this, the better everyone can make an informed decision on it. Bring it up in game, tell clannies to go here, read-up, and post their thoughts.
