Commander mode

Gunney thanks for the thread.

Many of you may find it boring but I really enjoy seeing the whole battlefield, helping squads see what I am seeing, trying to move squads to particular flags for defense ( i.e. when seeing 3 tanks attacking the C flag ) and letting squads know where the enemies defense is weak ( i.e. only one or two infantry defending a flag ) so they can attack with confidence. Providing supplies and scans are an essential part of commanding.

The most frustrating part as commander is that most squads ignore heads up on proximity to enemies, the type of force they are going to encounter or when a squad(s) is pushing a flag and just need a simple supplement of infantry, armor or air power to secure the flag and the called in support is just ignored. Most of the time I only request the supplement from squads not involved in hostilities.

A commanders tricky part is when squads are using VOIP to talk details amongst themselves and knowing when to stick your commander nose in without harming the squads comm flow.

AARP squads are awesome and I love supporting them the best I can.

Commanders need to *talk* to their squads over voip, it will improve compliance. Just calmly explain the situation and what you need done.

We all need to use the commander mode from time to time. I've seen RepeatOffender being on as commander and he does a fine job.

Here is how to start it in case you all have forgotten.

i like dropping amo crates on field faries

USA vs Canada tonight, he's been talking about it for weeks....
You guys should make this a permanent thing. Once a month, or once a year at least, lock one of the servers and fight the shit out of each other's. Both sides have great players so it should be fun. Back 15 years ago we did this with my previous clans, it was a blast. Lots of members you didn`t see in a while come together and smash. Of course, clan members only.
