Even though we speak English kinda Canadian's have some names for thing's that American's don't... see if you can figure out what the hell we are talking about (not aboot we don't say that)
Today's word is
"Chesterfield" it is a common household item that you all have?
 
I didn't go to the net but I walk in the morning with a Brit and he told me what it is. I am not going to spill the beans though.............STRYKER.

Chesterfield = Couch or Sofa

when i first came to Canada in 1957 british words were still being used such as ....GAOL pronounced same as JAIL
do not know about the younger generation we used the word soft drink for a bottled coke or pepsi. because it had no alcohol in it.

we can start with that one since the clan members are all over what do you call a soft drink, coke, pepsi, mountain dew, etc where you are from?
