To keep the ball rolling on introductions... My name is Roger Collette and I live in Oregon... probably not the oldest here but no where close to the youngest. I cut my teeth on the DOS adventure games in high school that had no graphics... remember "Look left" commands? From there to monochrome Gato (sub sim), Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, Duke Nukem (FTW), HalfLife, etc. Definitely not one of the hard core players but like to think I can hold my own... except against Mythfully... he kicks my ass the whole time.
Electrical Engineer by education and experience... been doing that for about 27 years, mainly doing facility work for the US Military. If I tell you any more then RedKilla will have to hunt you down. My ability to play BF4 is dependent on whether I am traveling around the world or at home... or if the wife has tasked me with honeydos. Three kids... one electrical engineer and two studying to be mechanical engineers. Four engineering brains in the house at one time drives my wife nuts.
My true passion is working with old cars... and I guess new ones. I am currently restoring a 1953 CJ3A Willys Navy Jeep for my Dad. This was originally going to be a tune up and oil change type project but currently down to a complete tear down. Chassis is nearly all back together and waiting on warmer weather and time to wrap up the body work, paint, and get it back together. I have owned a 1969 Camaro since 1981 (dating myself now, if I hadn't already), and that car is still in my garage waiting its turn to be put back on the road. In January I did purchase a new 2017 50 year Anniversary SS Camaro but unfortunately the weather has been the typical rain and it just stays in my shop. Several other daily drivers and project cars... but will save those stories for another day. So, when I break out the torch to work on your busted ass tank, I actually know what I am doing
I enjoy the teamwork and overall attitude of AARP and looking forward to teaming with AARP members on future maps and maybe clan matches. Still trying to figure out personalities though... who is serious and who is a joker... seems to lean towards the joker side of the spectrum.
