BF4 Ping Question

I've noticed that my ping has gone up in the servers. I imagine it is supposed to fluctuate while playing? I'm no pc tech, but to me, it appears that my ping is showing higher for the servers I have played in compared to a few months back. For example: some of the German servers I would notice around 130-150ms ping. Now it's around 200+ and varies in game. Perhaps it could be from my IP service as I had an upgrade to 200mbps/20mbps? I did run that speed test by Ookla, and it also varies from 15ms, 30ms, 40ms, etc. Is this normal? Thanks

The pings allways seems to spike a bit. When it happens it seems to happen to everyone. Haven't noticed on other servers as I 99% time on RC1.

It could be the routing on your new ISP. If there are extra hops that could make the ping higher.

New Orleans to Chicago should have about a 40ms latency.

I have also noticed more variation in the past with servers on a different continent from me. I kind of quit playing most of those and live in AARP Golmud now though.

Hi whitefish! I did a check using the Ookla speed test, and when I go from my area around New Orleans to Chicago area, it is showing 78ms just recently. Guess maybe I should try and contact my IP. I am with Spark Light. Not sure how good they are, but really don't have many choices!
