I have been playing Golmud for years and have gotten real used to Beckler's trash talk so that isn't the problem. Yesterday Beckler started doing some thing I thought I would never see from him. "PARASHITTING". Beckler is a seasoned player and knows javelins from the air are an unwritten no no. Now you can set back and not address this issue and we can go back to the Wiz-of-Wuz Days or you can sternly reprehend Beckler and nip this bull shit in the bud before it gets out of hand again...................STRYKER.

While I knew that “parashitting” was not sportsman-like conduct, frowned upon in this establishment, subject to ridicule, and just plain lame, I was not aware that it’s against the rules until I read them here the other day. I humbly apologize for the cheap parashitting stinger hits the other day when I was on a team full of noobs, morons, and well, beckler, and we were losing horribly.

I think its just a problem with parashitting on tanks? If the AH is hiding over the hill, I think parashitting with a stinger is still ok? Not sure which clause in Ms. Marples etiquette book covers these.

Looked back at the rules and it doesn’t cover parashitting in open play. References it in regard to engaging spawn/uncap. But considers parashitting marking/lasing as trolling behaviour that “will be addressed.”

I misread. The only mention of parashitting is in respect to engaging uncap. But later it mentions that parachute making/lasing is trolling behaviour.

A very small number have banned but that is because it was nearly the only game play they offered. There was no attempt to win games just used as a trolling tactic. They parashitted nonstop, day after day. So that's why they were banned. Parashitting is allowed but nobody will appreciate it or like you, including me. Frowned on mostly by the community. Same thing can be said for jet rams and C4 jeeps and other cheap stunts.

When I posted I made damn sure I didn't use the term rule. But Simpson if you recall when the problem with Wiz and the boys I made a post at that time asking for a rule and was denied. But it was said by your management team that it would be an unwritten rule and if it became a problem it would be addressed. So take from that what you will......................STRYKER.

I see nothing has changed since my parashitting days with "Wiz and the boys" which included me as one of the boys. The Tankers still hate the creativity of players that have found a way to equalize the tankers abilities to run rampant over the map. They still want you to stand in the open shooting at them with multiple shoots to kill them, so that they can kill you with one round from their tank. I haven't played in a long time or been here either but I see I haven't missed much. If you piss in someone's Post Toasties they will complain about it.

I haven't noticed much for para lock-ons in a while.. IR smoke will make them pretty ineffective if you run into that problem.

Actually, that was the issue. They could see you (because you were bigger and tanks render at a farther distance than infantry) but you could not see them. They wouldn't even be rendered on your screen when they were lasing you.

But it was only a select few who just did it for trolling, day after day. Those few people had a huge negative impact on the game when they played, no one liked them.
