Hi there AARP!

I think I may have been banned from your 24/7 Golmud server, although I am not sure. I would love some feedback or clarification on my status. I receive the following notification from battlelog:

Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster permanent ban issued on this Game Server for player 'ChampInTheMaking' ... Prior Kick/Ban

I initially thought it was simply a problem with my PB install and tried updating etc, but ruled that out by successfully joining other PB enabled servers.

A little backstory: I started playing BF4 on launch and have logged over 1600 hours online. As of late however, I stopped playing as much as I used to maybe 2 years ago or so because I was having problems with my PC. Fast forward to earlier last week - I realized my issues were coming from excessive dust buildup in the heat-sinks on my GPU. After cleaning them out I found my BF4 experience back up to where it was when I started so I got sucked back in.

I love Golmud, I have loved it ever since launch. As such I have(had) all the 24/7 golmud servers on favorite. One of the two servers that were still up and running on my favorites list after my 2 year (give or take) hiatus was AARP. I found myself ranked somewhere around 2,600 (i think) among all the players even after my break. I guess what I am saying is that I have put in some serious time on this server and I love playing with you guys.

If I was banned, I was wondering if you all could explain to me why and furthermore, if there is anyway for me to reverse that ban so I can get back out on the battlefield!

I’ve only ever used ChampInTheMaking, Shiryu. It has been a few years since I really played consistently though so it’s probably not fresh. Although I do clearly remember your name and I’m sure we’ve exchanged kills and conversations over the years.

For some reason I thought you used to be a TGB member or something. I must be misremembering. Nice to see you are still active!

I believe the fact that your battle report history is littered with reports flagged with red KD is probably a factor that contributed to your ban, though being as I'm not a moderator, I can't confirm that statement.

Thread will remain on my part until every thing is sorted out, and a dissension is made. I remember you on the server in the past and your stats were a little sketchy then. So either you are a very good player or you are using some kind of hack. We will let the three seniors handle it the way they see fit.................STRYKER.

Thanks for looking to it guys. I am open to mods spectating my play if necessary. I consistently have excellent KD ratios due to my playstyle.

I love the guys who come into the forums and try to baffle with BS. I have played 3000 hours, and I am not even close to being one of the highest time contributors. So there are people here who have put in the time on game. Please do not use the old "I am good because I put 1600 hours on game" excuse. It just doesn't fly, gun, or capture our imaginations.

I'm really just interested in proving my innocence. I have never and will never use any form of cheating on this game. I am open to all of you spectating my play which proves that. My name has never been legitimately reported for hacking. It clears all databases.

Looking for input from the admins who make the decisions around here. Not sure why I am catching so much flak from people like Great_Ape to whom I have done nothing antagonistic.

I would very much like to resolve this as I enjoy playing on your servers and with your playerbase.

Spectating doesn't prove anything if you know we're watching. I am one of the senior admins. No decision has been made. Please check back later

Nothing antagonistic! Really? Your very presence here is antagonistic, or do you have your head so far up your own ass that you can't even see that? I'm good because I have 1600 hours in game, so I am just to good! Genius! I can't believe nobody has tried that old true and tested method to weasel out of a tight spot before you thought of it! Oh wait! Whenever someone gets called to the carpet and has no other way to explain their inflated numbers, along comes the old fallback, "I'm just good"! Multiple websites, professional people, dedicated to finding people who cheat, see some of your numbers as suspicious, so why would I vote/go against a professional website? I know, they never took into account the fact that you are just "good". That has to be it, there can't be any other explanation! I usually don't have much to say on these things, but I have heard the complaints about you in TS and on squad chat. At the very least you are disruptive to the server, and take another chance on you by the senior admins lifting your ban? "I'm good", just the way it is. Ape
