I've heard foam rollers work well, but as far as a mechanical massager I haven't found a good one, besides in airports and malls. I assume a decent home version is pricey.

My ford truck has the massage feature. It's just little airbags that inflate and deflate... it's not going to fix any back issues but it does help a bit if you have been driving for 3-4 plus hours.

I use a massage gun that works really well for almost all muscle groups. Although if you have disc issues in your back the massage gun may not be the way to go. Or use it on a very low setting around your spine.
I paid about $150 for mine a few years ago and that was on the cheaper end. Seems amazon is selling clones dirt cheap these days for well under a hundred dollars.
