Seems like I run into issues where my microphone does not work in-game. This is coming from me using my PC as a media center. I have it hooked up to my TV+Stereo. I switch to my headset for gaming but it's not as easy as just turning it on.

Before I start a game I have to configure my microphone in Windows Sound every time, or I might not have a mic. I've found I can't start BF4 before I do this. Windows registers sound from mic even if I don't follow that order, but no mic output in game.

I use a Logitech G933 headset when I game. I'm not against switching headset/brands. I like having all Logitech gear, mouse, keyboard, headset. But I don't think they do a great job, they're more low-to-mid tier at audio. No complaints about mouse or KB.

Anyone have a fix for this?

There should be a way to set as default. Sometimes after moving my pc around my mic won't work and I just have to restart it.

Definitely following this to learn what the problem is though.

I have that headset and also use my TV as a second screen.

I use Win+P keys to bring up my monitor settings. I find that if I have the TV set to second screen, even if its not on, it will default to the TVs audio.

I just make sure my monitor is the only screen and I dont have a problem with audio or mic.

I can look into my settings and see what I have going on that might help,

Jmonty is right in that you can select a default audio and mic though.
