Simpson addressed !moveme but this is another feature that is being exploited to the max also. I am sure !assist was instituted for someone wanting to assist the loosing team, but now we have several people using it just to get on the winning team. Is there a way to set up the script so it will allow people only to assist the loosing team if they desire. Don't get me wrong as I am no saint and have used it to join people using team speak and that I generally squad up with, but would gladly give that feature up and move teams when the map reloads if I can...........STRYKER.

I've only used to to switch to a losing team to try for the comeback. I wasn't aware it would switch you to a wining team even if the player court was disproportionate.

I see people do it all the time. We will but down 800 tickets and we cant do anything but site there and get or stuff pushed in then you look in chat and you see 3 people just type !assist.

It is an imperfect script, and it will periodically let people through, regardless of point difference.

Most times I see two people trying to use the command within a certain time of each other which will swap them.
I guess I see that as harmless as it's a 1:1 swap.
Yes they may be boosting their win rate, but it still doesn't fix stupid.

Very rarely do I see it swap to the winning team under the "lenient" mode - maybe just that part of the script can be looked at.

Yup, I see !assist abused every single match. A lot of the time, I see it shortly after the beginning of the round and the fight for D. If someone is on the team that didn't get it, then they'll assume the team sucks and use !assist to switch to the team they think is going to win.

Why can't the server just have auto-balance? Surely there are scripts that solely work to keep the teams numerically even and prevent people from switching at all? I get we all like playing with clan mates and regulars, but there's no way to allow that without others exploiting the same feature for their own purposes.

I say just keep !assist, !moveme, !switch, or anything of the like off of the server.

I use it for balance as well. I have tried to move to the losing team and the player count was even or in favor of the losing team and the move was a no-go.

!moveme doesn't exist anymore on the server, so that's taken care of. The trouble with using Autobalance is that no one is happy, and it only really works for numerical differences between teams. Not situational stuff, or apparent skill. We've been trying to battle this issue for over a year at this point

This will be an ongoing problem... Heck I have only used it to balance the teams to some point.

One of the servers I play on, can't remember which, has a script that shuffles the teams but keeps squads together if the ticket difference is too high at the end of a round. Maybe all servers do that, but this one actually says it's going to.

I try and help the losing team whenever I can. I am way past the win/loss ratio. Missed it by about 40 years lol.
