Hey all,

I'm also a closet SIM fan and used to fly Falcon 4. and damm do I ever miss flying the F-16. Stable, nimble, FAST, agile.

Flacon 4.0 has evolved into BMS but the Hottest flight sim around right now is DCS (Digital Combat Simulations) it acts as a combat platform to which you can add terrains, campaigns and various aircraft. Right now I'm learning the F-15 Eagle and pre-purchased the F/A-18C Hornet.. Can't wait.

If anyone else is into this let me know and maybe we can set up some time to fly.

I'm your huckleberry. :) Carp is as well.......... I am a study sim pilot. Original Falcon 4.0 and the Janes Defense series pilot. Played Janes F-18 until my OS wouldn't run it anymore with all the mods. I have pre ordered the Hornet and can't waitl. Wag's team at DCS is also working on a F-14 and I am pretty damn excited since I worked Comm/NAV and weapon systems on the jet. I also have time in a Navy flight Simulator for the Tomcat. I am hoping they are going to do a Naval Operations Series and build some Campaigns around the Middle East. Currently fly both the SU and the 15 they both are worthy. A three ship sortie to clear some airspace would be fun.

HAHA Well Let's hook up then..... I'm in Ontario -5 Zulu (EST time for the laymans) ;)

Got Track IR and my X52 setup.... I can host 100 down 10 up but need a mission and I suck at creating them lol.

Wonder if I can run it on my ROG laptop with 980M. Usually sims are gpu/cpu intensive.

Yeah man, should not be a problem. Try it... I'm running a rig from 2014. two GTX 980's I7 3930K and 24 gigs DDR3 Ram. I also ran it on my 2012 ASUS ROG laptop so yours should be fine but you'll need a flight stick with a throttle

I have Flaming Cliffs 2. I'm thinking of getting Cliffs 3. I have A10c, Black Shark 2.

My flight controls:

I also play Flight simulator X Accelerated, and X-plane 11.

I thought about getting that stick. How do you like it for the F-15? Or are you strictly A-10?

The only F-15 I've flown with it is on Flight Simulator add-on "Strike carrier force" It had the Strike Eagle as a bonus. I enjoy combat simulation, but I love to strap in and fly a mission with multiple way-points. 2-3 hours. I really immerse myself and imagine it's me carrying a couple hundred passengers to Hawaii or some other exotic place.

I remember when I was playing Falcon 4.0 I'd take off, set the AP and take a shower, watch TV, refuel, then watch more TV. It would be hours and as soon as something would pop up on my RWS I's jump back in lol. Not realistic but I can only imagine the sheer boredom of flying CAP after CAP.

Not sure about X-plane but most sims you can fly in separate aircraft online. not sure if this one allows two players to fly pilot and Co-pilot online.

For DCS Flaming Cliffs 3

Guys anyone up for some circuits Friday night? Need to practice my landings and formation flying.
