I am an amateur pyrotechnician. I love making rockets, things that go boom, and anything that produces a bright light. Do any of you mess with making your own rockets, salutes, or 37mm/40mm reloading?

I am interested in SpaceX rockets and am looking forward to the starship test flight in the next few months, but I'd never dabbled in anything more than setting off fireworks. I'd be scared to start a forest fire ?

Used to love building huge bonfires as a teen but the area is too populated for that now.

Yeah, I get harassed at the airport every single time I fly. The sites I listed are legit though, and there are a lot of devices that are legal to make. Did you know you are allowed to have 50 pounds of homemade gunpowder in the US? The way to get the ATFs attention is to film yourself setting off a destructive device, or buying shit tons of oxidizer.

Rockets are really difficult to make well. You gotta hand it to Ol Elon.

oh yeah, that reminds me, i used deodorant and a lighter as a mini flame thrower, we did some training with the germans in the early 2000s and had traded some uniform stuff. then they decided to sneak in our room at night , drunk, to try and get it back. so i showed them what was up lol
