They all havent ended well for me......... This was a guy that did a u turn in front of me. I t-boned his car at 55. 3 weeks in the hospital and no walking for 3 months. The car is behind the bike.

So i've personally never had the opportunity to ride nor own a bike as of yet, so i'm curious how many miles/kilometers you typically put on yours. I know its substantially less than a car but just a general number would be helpful.

Hey Panda! It really depends on a ton of factors but for me its 1 - 2 thousands miles per year. Michigan doesnt have a long riding season unfortunately.

I ride all the time but dont know my mileage as I don't have a Speedometer, Horn, Turn Signals, or running lights. I do get pulled over but I've been fortunate enough to never get an equipment tickets as I explain that the bike is custom and has never had those things as OEM equipment. Half the time I get pulled over just because the cop is a rider too and just wants to look at the bike.

I got smacked pretty good back in the 70's. Got hit on an angle, flew over the car and into traffic. Busted my leg all to hell. Had a spiral fracture and my foot was facing backwards....that hurt. It was 13 months before I could walk normal.

I had the bike back together and was riding it to work while I still had a pins holding my ankle together.
