Karek wasn't shifting the conversation, he was hinting towards how the !mute function works. He said he muted you because you were talking about politics. This means that a) you were talking about politics. It is completely irrelevant whether or not you "never made a factually incorrect statement". It means the b) you were muted. When you are muted, any time you type something, you get "Killed in Action". If you type too much while muted, you get kicked.
