AFK players.

Like seriously, can we temp ban people that are afk and hogging player slots. These players have been there since start of round. GOLDAM Server 5-17-2025

Yeah maybe if the server is at 48/64 or greater then kick after 3 minutes or is w/e reasonable.

Is there a way to set a shorter timer during peak hours or if the game has say 48 players or more?

I understand more pop is always better, except when its effecting the game. I've been on teams that got steam rolled with 10 people simply not playing the whole round on one side.

It feels like pushing shit uphill when you are out gunned by a couple of squads. Not much fun at all, it actually ends up killing the server late at night due to stomps.

If I understand correctly, there is an AFK timer when the server is populated, but it is disabled when the server is populating. At least, that's what I've observed.

Problem is after a round many just walk away and go AFK with server about 2/3rd full and populating. So kick does not clear them out until server really full. That could take a long while.

First off, I want to sincerely apologize for kicking you for being AFK. I can see now how that might’ve come off, and I’m sorry for any frustration it caused. That wasn’t my intention.


I know this doesn’t undo it, but I’d like to share what I remember from that round so maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle on understanding what happened. I don’t recall the exact day—maybe late last week or the weekend—but I do remember a stretch of pretty lopsided games. In that particular match, I switched to the losing side to help balance things out. While playing, I also kept an eye on the scoreboard and noticed two players, including yourself, at the bottom with no score change for several minutes.


It was around 6:20pm ET when I first checked, and about 5–6 minutes later, the scores were still unchanged. Based on that and in the interest of keeping the round competitive, I made the call to kick for inactivity.


I get that I might’ve misjudged the situation. I don’t have video to back this up, unfortunately—I've been dealing with AMD driver issues lately, for which I've had to completely wipe drivers with DDU, reinstall, and leave at default settings.


I hope you can accept this apology. I understand if you're still frustrated or if others in the community want to speak their piece. I’ll take the heat. And if the Founders decide I need to be spanked, I’ll accept that too.

Monty, I appreciate your comments. For you and those that follow, please don’t let this thread turn into a Jyro vs Haze thing. I made a call and someone called me on it.

Haze is a valued regular, good player, participates in the forum, and posts reports with video proof. He felt wronged and brought it to the groups attention.

holy hell i didn't expect multiple paragraphs lmao, I didn't take it that seriously me and 9 just found it funny, It actually helped us swap sides to bully someone else so we actually didn't care

you talk alot for someone that gets trashed on by guided shells in your tank, We have an auto AFK kick for a reason, this is why we dont kick for it, regardless it was just a kick so i didn't really care even though it was pretty abusive

It was around 5/22 or so, Essentially me and 9 kinda dunked on jyro alot and the next game we were "afk" for around 2 minutes or so because we were checking someone else for being an alt account, Got kicked for "afk" which is obviously ridiculous for alot of reason but tbh we did kinda dunk on jyro really hard so it was understandably emotional, I didn't expect jyro to admit to that either so i dont care about it 100% It's totally forgiven
